We did another play in February for the farewell party for the 3rd-grade. Upon the success of Cinderella, I suggested we did another fairytale turned into a comedy. I was ready to write a screenplay. Izumi, however, suggested something different, specifically, Ibsen. I said the play had to be light-hearted and audience-pleasing, and Izumi didn’t push further.
I played the role of the queen, Kei, the mirror, Izumi, the Snow White. It opened with a scene with me talking to the mirror. I was so nervous that I skipped a few lines. The show was another success, and the president, who was about to graduate, said I was a great actor and encouraged me to continue stage acting.
